"Healers do not heal. Love heals. Healers are essentially lovers-those with the courage to live with an open heart-allowing love to work through them."

About Linda White Dove

So, you want to know about me? Okay. *smile*

First of all, I really dislike having a bio page. I think there is a tendency to be overly focused on credentials at the expense of the wisdom that comes from living with an openness to life and a willingness to explore the inner mysteries. I also believe that when working with a teacher or healing facilitator many people look upon the person as someone who will fix them or provide the information or skills they are seeking. The result is that we lose track of ourselves and attribute the power to the teacher or healing facilitator. Although I love what I do and put my heart and soul into it, the goal of my work is to help you uncover your innate wisdom and abilities. My work is about you. That said, I know it is natural to want and need to know about someone before deciding whether to work with them. So I offer here some credentials, background and other information you may find interesting as well as answer some of the questions I am frequently asked.

One question I am frequently asked is the significance of my name. The name White Dove was given to me in meditation. I made it my legal last name in 2000 as a way to align myself with my life purpose and honor the path I have chosen. The name White Dove represents part of a trinity. The trinity includes the creator energy (which many refer to as the Mother and Father and which I call the divine masculine and divine feminine), the expression of that energy (which many call the daughter and son and which I call the unified field or oneness/wholeness) and that from which the creator energy and its expression is birthed (which some call the Holy Spirit and I call the unknowable or the void). The unknowable is like a womb; it is a place of pure potential in which anything is possible. It is the dove energy, hence the association of the dove with hope, peace and healing.

I have been intuitively open since I was very young. I remember knowing people’s fears and motivations, long before I was able to understand that most people did not sense these same things with the depth and precision that I did. I was three years old. It took me many years to be able to also see the light and love inside of people, but when that happened, it was no longer an option for me to just know things and not want to apply it. What started as a knowing and curiosity evolved (and continues to evolve) into a deep desire to love; to partner with the love that I see inside of everyone in order to help bring about a more fulfilling way of living. In the process, I am continually challenged to identify and address my own fears to live my life with the openness, awe and wonder of a child beholding the divine. I believe this state of being is the doorway; the birth of the awareness that we are connected in our humanity, and in this interdependence is the seed for living in peace with each other and our world/planet.

Peace is very important to me but it is only the beginning of a more fulfilling way of life for us all. The process of remembering our peaceful nature as divine (interconnected) beings requires that we also break down and rebuild our beliefs, fears and the social structures/conventions we have put into place to perpetuate the experience of separation. If you have noticed a lot of people going through major life changes right now (such as relationships ending/beginning, change of work, big health issues, relocation), and if you look at what appears to be a world that is falling apart, it is actually a breaking down of what no longer works in order to expose the eternal (“new”) that is always underneath. This new will bring about many changes and peace is only the foundation. I see my role as not only helping to bring about this new way of living, but also to help identify and break down what no longer works. The process of breakdown is guided by the same love that creates anew. The dove is a symbol of both death and re-birth.

As far as training, I have had the benefit of many teachers and trainings. Among these are a Master's Degree in Adult Education as well as completion of an extensive facilitator training program which led to many years offering encounter groups in the human potential movement, and a lot of personal growth for me!!! I have also offered workshops in intuitive development, energy healing and more. I have presented at conferences and I enjoy working with groups of all sizes. Prior to leaving the arena of paid employment to pursue healing/teaching/writing, I spent many years in the non-profit and mental health care environments where I held positions in training/development and management.

In addition to these more formal/structured trainings, my most powerful teacher is oneness, that state of being in which everyone and everything is connected as one unified infinite field of divine consciousness/energy. Although many people experience oneness when in meditation and altered states of awareness, I sense it both when I meditate and as I go about my daily activities. I experience it as energy interacting with other energy in an ongoing relationship which is the act of creation/re-creation. I am a student of relationship and divine creation. Not only am I totally fascinated by this process, it is also extremely heart opening, empowering and it challenges me to continually grow as I deepen and expand my ability to live as a loving creative relationship presence in the world. I have an awareness of myself as an individual (ego) self and as a communal (oneness/soul) experience. I value both, appreciating and accepting the challenges and gifts that come with this awareness.

One of the gifts of communal/oneness awareness for me is that I have a strong connection to a higher knowing which enables me to see beyond the perceptual boxes that limit our sense of self and that govern our interactions and social structures. I have always had this higher knowing. I also grew up with the experience of loving unconditionally in a world that places conditions upon love and is usually unaware of it. As a result of how I perceive things and the way I experience and express love, I have learned, and continue to learn, a lot. By persistently following my own truth and working through the challenges that result, I am embodying the love/wisdom that comes from deeply becoming the things I once just saw, felt or knew. More than any particular service on this website, the embodiment of loving wisdom is the most important thing I have to offer. It brings me a tremendous amount of inner freedom and joy that reflects in my work and it is the foundation for everything I offer on this website. I am grateful for the challenges I have experienced, the path I have chosen, and for the opportunity to share my work with you.

Well, I think what I have shared on this page should suffice for a bio. If there is something else you wish to know about me, just send me an e mail and I will respond, provided you are nice to me *smile.* If you enjoy what you find on this site, I love hearing about it. If something is unclear and you have questions about my offerings, this is important feedback for me as well. Thank you for visiting this website and my bio page.

Peace,
